Any product new to the market requires a strategic team to handle the customer campaigning and promoting the product. For developing and marketing the smartphone as asked in the question there are different requirements associated with it. The first team we need for a smartphone is the market research group, who act as the conveyor of customer requirement and the gap in the existing product. They do a thorough research of present market condition and the future scenario as well to predict the changes needed in the strategy. Market research persons clarify the specific requirements in a smartphone like high battery capacity, less charging time, Camera etc so that the research and development team can work on that.

Next requirement of any project is the budgeting and finance persons who calculate the budget requirement and return on investment and also they involve the purchasing group to identify the valid suppliers. The finance team calculates the full plan and tells which items to be bought and which to be manufactured to maximize the profit as well as keeping the cost optimized.

Next are the research and development team which work on the competitive requirement of the phone to gain the customer attraction. The research and development team creates the exact product requirement.

The most important persons fro any new project are the project management team which coordinates and monitors the project status. They plan each and every activity according to the deadline of the project.

In the beginning, we don't need outside people to develop the product, but in future, we need some stakeholders like distributors and retailers to launch the product and make the product visible to the market. These are most important people in future to create the sells and increase it continuously. They also give the response of the product from the customer perspective.
