Lipid solubility is to the ability for a molecule to dissolve in lipids, which is dependent on its polarity. Non-polar molecules to be lipid soluble.
The lipid solubility is also known as lipophilicity, it is usually refers to the capability of a substance or compound to dissolve in lipids, fats, or oils, lipids.
The substances which are soluble or dissolve in lipids are soluble in non-polar solvents such as hexane or toluene. The substances or chemicals which have the ability to dissolve in fat or non-polar solvents are known as lipophilic substances. However, these substances are unable to dissolve in polar or hydrophilic (water-loving) substances.
