what is the evidence supporting animal evolution from a protist ancestor? be sure to identify the protist ancestor and supergroup of both the protist ancestor and animal group? 2. if hydra live as a colony what cepecialization do different individules preform? plz i need answer
1. animals are evoluted from protest ancestors.
in protesta ancestors we place organisms like Amoeba, euglena, Paramecium and plasmodium.
the animals like sponges and Phylum coelentrata have similar characters to the protesta. Phylum Protista have unicellular body organisation with aquatic habitat.
as we go with Phylum Porifera and coelentrata and higher phyums we see that all organisms have more developed characters but the base of characters is similar to the Phylum protista.
Phylum porifera have group of cells which are loosely aggregated with each other.
phylum coelentrata have a group of cells which forms tissues as a result of more evolution.
the higher animals shows similarity with the lower animals but the complexity is different because higher animals have more Complex body organisation and functions as compared to lower organisms in Animal Kingdom.
we can see evolutionary relationships by studying their habitats, structural organisation, mode of reproduction and nutrition.
2. various organisms in each animal Phylum shows different characters
porifera have sponge like structures because they have pores in the body.
all animals of Phylum Arthropoda have jointed appendages in the body.
Platyhelminthes Phylum have flat body structures for example liver fluke.
Phylum Annelida and nematoda both have long long elongated round body structures that called as worms.
but Annelida have segmentation in the elongated body and Phylum nematoda doesn't have hands called as roundworms.
other characters we can see that round worms and flatworms are mostly parasitic in nature.
phylum coelentrata have tentacles structure.
we can see that mollusc I have special feature that they have soft bodied structures which is covered by hard calcareous covering.
so we can see various organisms show special features and characters which depends on the species and organisms.
