#Main muscle responsible for it are - quadricep, hamstring, soleus, gastricnemius, gluteal muscles, hip extender and flexors,hip rotator.

#Role of different muscle in running-

1.Quadricep muscle help us to move leg forword, they mainly bend hip and strengthen knee. It also help as a shock absorber and also for stabilizing knee in proper position.

2.When we move forword, hamstrings take in action, they present at back of thigh which helps in straighten hip and start bending of knee. It helps to lift knee behind us.

3.Soleus and gastrocnemius are muscle of lower leg they help us as extender and flexor for each foot as we land and push off. Also helps in absorbing impact.

4.Gluteal muscle present in buttocks. They extend hip and strengthening it beneath us. They stabilize trunk and keep our body upright.

5.Hip extender and flexor are situated deep below hamstrings and quadraceps. They together helps to move legs forword and back.

6.Hip rotator stabilize hip joint and helps in good running form.
