Define the sample space and the type for the sample space for the following cases. To get simpler expressions, you can prefer the set notation if needed. For questions requiring a plot, provide the sample space by using Cartesian Coordinate system.

(a) My computer mouse needs a battery to function. I buy a battery and it lasts X amount of time. Then I install a new battery into the mouse. If Y represents the time that the mouse is ON, determine the sample space for X and Y on the same graph and the type of sample space.
(b) Once the CoronaVirus gets transmitted to a person, it takes 14 days for its incubation and after this time the virus gets spreaded to another person through coughing or sneezing. Let X represent the time a person gets the virus, and Y repesent the time it gets spread by the same person. Determine the sample space for X and Y on the same graph and the type of sample space.
(c) CoronaVirus can be transmitted into a person but not all people get sick. If CoronaVirus attaches itself to the lungs of a person, then it starts incubating and makes a person sick. After incubation, the virus either kills the person or the person survives but then becomes immune to the virus. If S represents the state of a person for CoronaVirus, determine this sample space and its type.

Recall the following definition: For X a topological space, and for A ⊆ X, we define the closure of A as cl(A) = ⋂{B ⊆ X : B is closed in X and A ⊆ B}. Let x ∈ X. Prove that x ∈ cl(A) if and only if every neighborhood of x contains a point from A. You may not use any definitions of cl(A) other than the one given.
