During that period the UK unemployment increased over 10% and it remain hi until the period of Second World War.
The period was very depressing because government failed to implement any policies related to upliftment of the drastic situation.
It was decreased due to the slew rate of industrialisation at that period and the indulge of British army in war zones.
Stock market crashed and tide to the gold standard the British economy paste a drastic situation of deflation and growth stagnancy.
Failed of government policies also responsible for this deflation and that’s why all the policies are not applicable in any program related to development and providing employment opportunities.
