Whether we want to admit it or not, big companies are using this type of marketing strategy to maximize their brand, especially in the social media age. Geico with the camel and cavemen, AT&T with the kids and IKEA with bookshelves on the beach were all great ideas that will stay with people for a long time. Right now, if you walked in a cafe and started to quote the camel or kids, people would instantly recognize the commercial and finish your statement. That type of buzz will cause people to consider your company over another, just because of the memory of those great commercials.
