1.In a study, 1,319 children at the age of 12 were randomly selected to be questioned on the
prevalence of symptoms of severe cold. A second sample of 1,319 children at age 14
were random selected to be questioned on the prevalence of symptoms of severe cold.
Among the 12 year olds, 356 children were reported to having severe cold symptoms in
the past 12 months, while among the 14 year olds, 468 reported to having severe cold
symptoms in the past 12 months. Is there a significant difference of the prevalence of
severe cold symptoms between children at the age of 12 and 14?
