Explain four causes of project failure
A good project manager has different attributes. The first attribute is strong leadership that can motivate the project team, drive them to achieve the performance of highest level and form a strong team bonding. It makes the project team to be more than sum their parts. It makes the team members to complement each other. The second attribute is effective communication made by the manager. It makes the each project team member to understand the role and execute it with precisions. It contributes to the success of the project. The third attribute is trouble shooting ability with the technical skills. It makes the manager to lead the team by example and solve the problems faced by the team with his own technical expertise. The fourth attribute is the good decision making ability with the foreseeing ability of the future scenario. It helps the manager to take informed decisions that increases the success rate. Besides, the ability to build team, efficient allocation of resources and taking proactive approach to solve the issues in the project, are other attributes of the good project manager.

The first cause of project failure is improper planning that is
unable to achieve the project deliverables. It makes the project to
fail. The second cause of the project failure is poor communication
to the project team members that create ambiguity and role
confusion. It contributes to the failure of the project. The third
cause is the lack of allocation of resources. It may cause the
delay in the achievement of the milestones and overrun will take
place. It will jeopardy the success of the project. The fourth
cause is the regular alternation or renegotiation of the demand of
the client or the change in deliverables of the project. It will
decrease the success rate and project will become a failure.
