Solutions

Expert Solution

ANSWER 1 :-

Calorie provided through osmolite

1.5 Cal 237 ml Osmolite is stated to provide around 355 Calories and thus, we can calculate the amount of calories found out to be 539.24 Calories to be derived from 360 ml preparation.

Osmolite is provided 4 times taking the overall daily calorie intake to (539.24 X 4 = 2156.96 Cal) be 2157 Calories. The daily requirement of calories for women is 2000 Calories.

Protein provided through osmolite

237 ml preparation provides 14.9 grams of proteins and thus 360 ml preparation will provide (360×14.9/237 = 22.63) 22.63 grams of proteins per utilization period. This accounts to total of (22.63 × 4 =90.52 grams) of proteins per day.

Free water is the water which is provided through the preparation. Most preparations contains around 75-80 % free water.

In the above mentioned query, around 181 ml of water is provided through the osmolite which accounts to (274.93 ml) through 360 ml of preparation. This accounts to total intake of 1100 ml of water throughout the day. Apart from this, the additional water provided for water flush accounts to (30×4 + 50×4 = 320 ml) 320 ml of water and thus takes the entire fluid being provided to be around (1100 + 320 = 1420ml) of water.

In case of free water, it accounts to around (1100/1440 = 0.77) or 77% of free water intake.

1440 comes from total intake of (360 ml × 4 = 1440 ml).

NOTE :- Respected Sir, please provide details about the inclusion of which vitamins and minerals as they vary according to the preparations.
