Calculate the percent yield using the formula below: % Yield = [g aspirin obtained/ g aspirin calculated (3.91)] X 100
You are not putting any value, but let's assume some data to show you how you'll do it:
let's suppose you are doing the synthesis of aspirin and the theorical amount that it would be obtained is 25.65 g. Once that you have done all the procedure steps, and after you filter and let it dry, you weight your product, and realize that the weight is 17.84 g. The %yield would be:
% = 17.84 / 25.65 * 100
% = 69.55%
The g aspirin obtained would be the grams obtained in your experiment, and the calculated would be the grams you calculated with the theorical amount using stechiometry.
