Hydrogen, combined with a fuel cell, is also a great vector of clean energy, since it makes it possible to produce electricity directly onboard electric vehicles or in remote areas that are cut off from the power grid.

  From the beginning of the space industry, hydrogen has played an important role as a rocket fuel. This is because it is the fuel that concentrates the most energy: 1 kg of hydrogen contains 3 times more energy than 1 kg of gasoline.

  Hydrogen batteries is an element consisting of one proton and an electron. It is the most abundant element in the universe but, it does not occur naturally as a gas in the Earth. It is always combined with other elements including hydrocarbons, water and other organic substances.

Hydrogen batteries is used in the production of carbon steels, special metals and semiconductors. In the electronics industry, it is widely employed as a reducing agent and as a carrier gas. High-purity hydrogen is also used as a carrier gas in gas chromatography.

Nowadays, hydrogen batteries is used in several industrial processes. Among other applications, it is important to point its use as raw material in the chemical industry, and also as a reductor agent in the metallurgic industry.

Hydrogen batteries is a fundamental building block for the manufacture of ammonia, and hence fertilizers, and of methanol, used in the manufacture of many polymers. Refineries, where hydrogen is used for the processing of intermediate oil products, are another area of use.
