please answer these questions all of them for quick

1.  Pick two organisms that have traits that allow them to be perfectly adapted to their environments. For example, there are bright pink praying mantis that are perfectly camouflaged with pink flowers to allow them to be blended in with their environment so insects will not see them as they visit the flowers.  Do not use the example provided as one of your organisms!

2. Provide a picture of each organism showing the traits that adapted them to their environments and provide a detailed description of each trait.

3. Describe when the traits may have evolved for each organism.

Expert Solution

1. The two organism chosen are kangaroo (adopts themselves according to the hot conditions of dessert.) and stick insect.

2. To survive the harsh summers, kangaroos will cool off by licking their forelegs. A special network of blood vessels in the legs allows the animals to reduce their body temperatures quickly through the evaporation of saliva since kangaroos lack regular sweat glands.

Stick insect camouflage like green leaf tree or wooden colored twigs or sticks and confusin predators into thinking they're sticks rather than prey. These insects are proficient not just at remaining still but at swinging their bodies back and forth to mimic tree shoots moving in a breeze. It's rare for animals to feed on sticks, so this unique adaptation is an effective one. They also manage risks of predation by giving off aggressively unpleasant odors that drive their enemies away. If a predator seizes a youngster's stick insect limb, the juvenile can respond by letting the leg go. Thankfully, the little critter can can grow a brand new replacement limb within a span of roughly two weeks.

Study Questions Why would organisms lose obviously advantageous traits? For example, primates have a greatly reduced olfactory system compared to their ancient ancestors, even though a keen sense of smell is an obviously advantageous trait under almost any condition. Why would evolutionary processes select against such traits? Why would we not retain them even if they were not absolutely necessary for our survival? How is behaviour affected by evolutionary processes? Can behaviour still be subject to natural selection if it...
