The article by Farran Powell emphasizing on the soaring already expensive college tuition fees. The tuition cost of almost every college has increased and most of the data reveals that it may be the cause of the great recession.
According to a 2017 paper by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the state spending has been an all-time low since 20017-08. That means state funds have been significantly decreased.
The hike has been so much so that it has overpassed the published tuition hikes of National universities.
There's also a concern of students dropping the first choice of their college because of financial reasons according to a survey. That clearly implies that the hikes in tuition fees are cornering students' choices of the universities and the colleges.
