The human development and growth is a long process and requires the efforts of both the growing human and its significant others. The attachment theory given by Bowlby proposes that the attachments formed in the infancy play the foundation for later romantic relationships in adult life. He proposed three types of attachment style- secure, avoidant and anxious ambivalent. The infant who has a secure attachment style , knows that there are significant others who will cater to his needs and desires. A person who is having anxious attachment style is dreadful of the feeling of being left alone and an infant who has anxious ambivalent style is anxious when a significant other leaves him/her alone but is ignorant of the person when he/she comes back.

The moral development of a child takes place in three stages according to Kohlberg, these are, pre-conventional, conventional and post conventional morality. The child moves form one stage to another following and learning the moral values.

The emotional regulation is a part of emotional intelligence which develops in the child because of the interaction between his/her innate predispositions as well as interaction with the environment.

Despite the individual differences in reaching milestones, most of the children grow and develop into healthy human beings. The pace with which an individual grows and develops his abilities may vary between different individuals, yet most of us become fully functioning and healthy individuals.
