gene are the inheritance unit, which is transferred from one
generation to other
the gene for an individual get from father and mother
there are some genes which are getting from mother only while
others are combination of the both so there are chance for wide
variety of genes for a trait can appear, this cause change in he
characters of individual different from that of parents
mutation can occurs in any one of the genes, it may affect the
normal functioning of the genes for the expression of the character
, but a trait is expressed by two gens so if there is mutation in
one other will be normal itself
this normal allele is able to express its trait, if it is
dominant gene but if it is recessive there can be mutation
change
dominant gene can function normally as other normal allele this
make as feeling that there is no mutation associated with this
gene
so this mutation does not cause any effect on the gene
expression
but this only occur in those genes which are dominant, because
of their masking ability
so only some genes don't appear to have any mutation associated
with them
