We, as human beings, are a walking heap of ideas, imaginations and expressions. Each one of us has a different lense to see and interpret the world. We observe things around us and reflect through our creative mediums. Some of us use words to describe it, some of us use pictures, some use music and some use rocks and sands. Human imaginations acknowledge no physical boundaries. It floats in the infinite space covering every possible direction of the physical and the meta-physical world. Art is a way to express these ideas and imagination.
According to Oxford English Dictionary, art is the medium of "expression or application of creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting, drawing, or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power." But limiting the defination of an art is very difficult. It's very subjective. It beholds in the brain of the artist and the appreciater.
An art is a medium of communication by which an artist tries to communicate his ideas and imagiation. Art is also an escape from the reality where an artist can escape from the real situation prevalent in the society and dream something very different. An art is a medium to outreach to the people alike you. It is a medium to find them and communicate to them.
An art is an expression of emotions. It has no definite form and can be interpreted differently. Art is inspiration. When people feel dejected in their lives, Art gives them solace and the cool breeze of the valley of the heaven.
An art is also a discipline, practiced by the artist throughout his life. To create something artistic, he/she has to create and re-create it for a thousands of times. An art is a spirit of never giving up. And at last, an art is a joy. A celestial one, which an artist feels when he sees it after a final touch. Art is love. We are art.
