Baird and colleagues report on a study of 364 business units from the manufacturing and service sectors in Australia. Their study examined four core TQM practices: process management, the quality and reporting of data, supplier quality management and product and/or service design. Their findings suggest that respect for colleagues and teamwork are critical components for enhancing total quality management implementation.

Hierarchical culture was found to have a signficant relationship with certain practics of TQM. Additionally, the findings indicate that although the culture facttors underpinning different elements of TQM are dissimilar,even antagonistic, organizations can implement them in harmony.
Culture focus on flexibility and the internal org. it has trust and participation as core values and human potential development is its efecctiveness criteria. it is oriented to creativity and adaptiion to the external environment. it has control as the main values. productivity is the effectiveness criteria of culture.

Factors important for maintaining quality:
- money is the importantt factor affecting the quality of a productt g is the money involved in the production itself.
- materials means raw material involved production process mustt be of high quality.

Quality training enhances the skills of an employee to efficiently and effectively improve teamwork, thus reducing errors and enhancing job satisfaction which can impacct product innovation. quality management practices may actualy limit an employees ablity to work with teams to find new ways to innovate because of a need to exercise control . social quality management unlike the tech quality management focuses on employee empowerment which enhances innovation. quality management may nnot have direct association with innovation , itt might indirectly impact innvovation by encouraging social quallity management.
