1. Which will you prefer in a VOIP network - SoftPhones or Hardware Phones? Under what circumstances will you use each one? Compare and contrast.

VOIP - Voice Over Internet Protocol(making telephone calls over the internet)

-> SoftPhones : It is a software which has to be installed in a computer, tablet or a smartphone to get the advantages of VOIP.

-> HardPhones : It is a device. if you want to get the advantages of VOIP through the Hardphone then you must have to maintain a device.

=> I will prefer Softphone in a VOIP network. Because in softphone you can just install the particular software in your regular using tablets/smartphones along with a headset and take the benefits of VOIP wherever you go. But if you use hardphones , you have to maintain/handle a separate device/dedicated hardware everytime. So comparetively softphones is best and preferable.

under what circumstances you will use each one :

-> if your employees spend all the time in office then hardphones is preferable

-> if you have to travel around then rather than hardphones , softphones is preferble because it can be installed in your device and can easily taken everywhere.
