Marx Weber had some similiar thoughts on economy as Karl
Marx.Similiar to Karl Marx Weber also believed class was
economicallydetermined.Class,status and power primarily determined
the structure of a society.According to Weber the economy or
society was divided between the owners and laborers.Weber was also
concerned with the changes occurring in the economy due to
industralization.Non economic factors in the economy such as
kinship,education,religion were the factors that determined the
status of individuals in an economy and he believed that class and
status were the major factors that decided the power of individuals
in a society.The status and class formed the base of a
society.Weber introduced the concept of rationalization.According
to Weber a society should be not be build according to the
traditions or morality instead society should be built by
efficiency and logic.
Weber had his own views regarding the politics,law and
religion.Weber considered the law to be the as a legitimate source
of authority in a society.The normative aspect of law is not taken
into consideration in Webers theory.Max weber considered politics
as vocation.According to Webers theory the politicians must be able
to balance between the ethic of moral conviction and ethic of
responsibility.According to Weber ethic of moral conviction a
politician must strongly believe in his ideologies and his beliefs
should not be unshakable. Ethics of responsibilities refers to the
moral based duties and responsibilities that the politicians have
towards the other individuals.According to Weber religion can act
as a reason for social change in an economy.Religion in Webers
theory is considered to be a social institution as religion
.Religion has beliefs and practices that fulfill the needs of the
society.According to Weber religion is universal and it can be
found in all societies.
