1) in this scenario - you are in charge of establishing a fully-functional, microbiology diagnostic laboratory. Describe the issues you need to consider and the processes you would need to put in place. This will need to include: an overarching aim of the laboratory, regulations to ensure you adhere to quality assurance measures and then there is a framework of the procedures.

There are various norms , rules and regulations for developing the set up of a microbiology laboratory. The maintenance of the aseptic condition in the laboratory is very important to avoid the unnecessary growth of the microorganisms in the laboratory which can give false results due to microbial growth. It is a place where tiny and small microorganisms are studied. There are various equipment that are used in the microbiology laboratory such as slides, test tubes, petridishes , incubators , microscope, pipette . These plays an important role in the maintenance of the aseptic condition and result in the most accurate result or report possible. The microbiology deals with the diagnosis and infection due to the infectious disease . The signs and symptoms are studied which heads to an organism which is futher confirmed by confirmatory tests in the laboratory. There is a program as the infectious and prevention control program to reduces the spread of the infectious diseases , the role of anti biotic resistance in certain type of microorganism and also the epidemiological evaluation is also calculated in the microbiology laboratory.

Therefore, this is the rules and principles for overaching aim of the laboratory regulation to ensure to adhere to quality measures .

1. You work for a nuclear research laboratory that is contemplating leasing a diagnostic scanner (leasing is a common practice with expensive, high-tech equipment). The scanner costs $5,500,000 and would be depreciated straight-line to zero over five years. Because of radiation contamination, it will actually be completely valueless in five years. You can lease it for $1,320,000 per year for five years. Assume that the tax rate is 21 percent. You can borrow at 7 percent before taxes. Calculate the...

Suppose you are working in the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Canada’s only containment Level 4 facility where scientist can work safely with COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2). At this stage you are permitted to perform your experiments in normal human bronchial epithelial (NHBE) cells and mouse models. 3a) To combat COVID-19, can you design a CRISPR/Cas strategy by targeting SARS-CoV-2 in NHBE cells.
