X Limited is an organization involves in creating and selling of different food items. The company is mainly in the business of fast food production and selling. The management continuously looks to introduce new products in the market to attract customers. The company currently plans to create a new type of cookies that would be delicious as well as healthy for the people. The management has undertaken a research to find out the market situation and the customers’ expectation as far as the taste in cookies are concerned. Along with that the research will also focus on the profitability of the cookies in the future, i.e. whether the company would be able to make profit from the sale of cookies in the market. Thus, the main questions that the management is looking to get answers from the research are as following:

  1. The taste and preference of the customers’ in cookies.
  2. Whether the market currently supplies such cookies to the customers?
  3. The expected demand in the market for such cookies.
  4. The expected production costs of such cookies.
  5. The expected financial outcome from sale of such cookies.
  6. Whether the company would be able to make profit from sale of such cookies in the market?

The proposed research shall be designed in such a way to find answers to the all of the above questions and queries. The management will use both qualitative and quantitative data and analyse these to find the correct answers to the above questions. The research after completion would allow the management to take correct decision as to how to go about creating and selling the proposed cookies. The data shall be collected by using survey and by conducting interviews. The financial data, i.e. the expected investment to make the cookies and the probable amount of revenue to be generated from the sale of cookies would be complied from the market after a thorough survey of the market. Both analytical and substantive methods shall be used to analyse the data and to make assertion form these data. Based on the results of the analytical and substantive technique on the probable market of the cookies the final decision shall be taken on production and sale of such cookies. The results along with observation shall be provided to the executive management for taking the final decision on the production and sale of cookies.
