What are the operational steps ofa work cycle?
Identify activities and process parameters for each step of the operation.
The four steps of work cycle are:
Step I: This is the first step in which we need to identify the problem or opportunity. Discuss with the team to solve the problem or to grab the opportunity. Main point of this step is to figure out an objective for project. To understand whether it is feasible or not, and to identify outcomes of the project.
Step II: This is the most important step. Using the above step, an analysis of cost of project and benefits from the project should be made. The aim of this step to plan the whole work process including costs involved and time required to complete. Along with that the inventory and manpower required should also be accounted for. This is done by breaking project into small tasks and assigning it to a team. Thus, completing small tasks in a timeframe is easy which leads to overall completion of project. An alternate stratergy and solution should also be planned to take in account for some unforseen issues.
Step III: Now that a plan is set, with help of a team execute the project. Follow the schedule prepared and monitor the work. Communicate with every team and check for delay or any requirement. Daily assesment of tasks completed and tasks pending should be done. Gather information from all teams and maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the project.
Step IV: Now that the project is executed, keep tab of progress. Evaluate results and compare with some benchmark. Check for recommendations and improvise. See if alternate stratergy will yield further good result, else, the project can be closed. After having used above steps and executing it accordingly, if the results are satisfactory the project can be closed.
