1. Before completing this exercise, review Chapters 3 and 4 of your SPSS textbook and complete the example in each chapter (the example starts at the beginning of the chapter) to learn how to create a frequency distribution and a histogram. Using these new skills:

  1. Use SPSS to create a frequency distribution of the Body Mass Index (BMI) of a random sample of 30 adults diagnosed with the depression (Table 1). Take a screenshot of the output (make sure the screenshot shows your entire computer screen, including the date and time of your assignment completion). Add the screenshot at the end of your answer to question 1.
  2. Create a formatted frequency distribution table using the frequency distribution output from SPSS. Use class intervals of 5 to create your table. Make sure the table is created in Word and formatted in APA style (see SPSS textbook p. 24, Table 3.1 for formatting example, and Salkind textbook p. 61 for an example of creating class intervals of the data)
  3. Create a histogram of the data in Table 1 using SPSS. Copy and paste your histogram to the Word document, then format your figure in APA style (see SPSS textbook pg. 35 for example of a histogram formatted in APA style)
