You may choose more than one answer. In order to demonstrate that a growth hormone binds its receptor specifically, you must show which of the following?
Dose-dependent binding
Saturation binding
Specific binding
Protein activity
Option saturation binding, specific binding and protein acitivity all these can be done for analysis of specific substrate binding with enzyme study.
Saturation curve only comes if there all the binding site occupied by substrate , only specific enzyme substrate will show this saturation curve.
Specific binding acitivity: so only specific substrate binds to specific enzyme substrate and this study will show this binding activity.
Enzyme activity:- it's rate of conversion of substrate into product with the help of enzyme. So substrate is specific then it will with enzyme stove site and covert into product which can be detected. So this activity is also used for specific substrate binding with enzyme.
Dose dependant is not direct indication of specific substrate binding with enzyme as there might be chance that if we increase more concentration of substrate then some non specific binding of substrate with enzyme occur.
Hope it's clear.. thanks
