Describe one of the most recent disease outbreaks, and the role of epidemiologists (descriptive and/or analytical) in addressing it. What questions would you ask an epidemiologist, if you had the chance to interview one?
A disease outbreak is known as the disease under no control and excess of normal expectancy.
These outbreaks usually are helped and caused by an infection transmitted through human contact or animal-to-person contact; even the environment also plays a role.
Coronavirus infection is the most recent outbreak which has caused a pandemic situation throughout the world.
Epidemiologists description: 1. The addresses it as to how it has come into the picture. Some terminologies are important as "what the incubation period is now?", and the generation time (which is to say that the time between one person's infection and infecting others).
2. The severity of the infection and how rapidly it is increasing, statistical data is important.
3. How serious the infection is and how it spreads.\
4. Why people of certain aga getting sick and what are the causes that this virus is having that affects our immune system.
5. How vulnerable our adults, especially old adults are, and how they can be safe from this infection outbreak. To understand the infection, they will suggest the infection of this virus causing problems with people who have different other diseases already.
6. What precautions should be taken in public and private health?
7. This virus can be contained, they will suggest the measures taken for that purpose. Benefits of certain precautions.
Questions to be asked:
1. Understanding of this virus, and what is specific knowledge people should have about this?
2. How this virus causes serious issues? What is the connection between this virus with our immune system?
3. How shall we understand the person-to-person contact and which precautions are useful and mandatory?
4. How do the existing medicines regarding the viral infection would work?
5. What are the ways people can avoid this infection and still be able to go out?
