Solution:
Photovoltaic cell commonly called as solar cells works well under direct sunlight yielding high voltage, the reason behind direct sunlight is of its intense light source in wavelength with high energy photons making cells to excite towards high energy results in sequential electron jump in parallel cells which on combining yields high voltage.
But in shade area an indirect sunlight source is less in intense photons which fails to excite the electron to its maximum level for achieving high voltage output, in general solar cells perform well in low temperature compared to high temperature hence cells are coated with anti-reflectio coating along textured surface for reducing the impact from high temperature hence solar cells appear to be black / dark blue in colour.
