- BOWEL:ASSESSED FOR BOWEL SOUNDS AND STOOL SOFTNERS AND
LAXATIVES ARE PRESCRIBED TO PREVENT CONSTIPATION AND ALSO TO LIMIT
PERINEAL DISCOMFORT DURING DEFEACATION.
- BLADDER: IT SHOULD BE NONPALPABLE ABOVE THE SYMPHYSIS
PUBIS.
- FOUL-SMELLING LOCHIA WHICH SHOWS SIGNS OF INFECTION.
- EPISIOTOMY: ASSESSED FOR ANY DISCHARGE AND PERFECT
APPROXIMATION OF THE WOUND.ASSESSMENT FOR ANY PERINEAL PAIN .
- ASSESSMENT OF THE LOWER EXTREMITIES TO RULE OUT DEEP VEIN
THROMBOSIS.
- EMOTIONS: ASSESSMENT MADE BY THE SIGNS OF THE POSTPARTUM BLUES
WHICH INCLUDES IRRITABILITY, INSOMINIA.IT IS A NORMAL PHYSIOLOGICAL
REACTION DUE TO HORMONAL IMBALANCE ,PHYSICAL TIREDNESS AND SHOULD
DISPAPPEAR WITHIN A WEEK GRADUALLY.
- EDUCATE THE MOTHER ABOUT CREATING BONDING BETWEEN THE MOTHER
AND NEWBORN BABY.
