A person who went to the gym and after 2 hours for his training, discovered that he lost 2 kilograms.
Why and how did you lose the 2 kilograms?
What happened to your plasma [sodium] and why?
What changes will occur, both in your behavior and kidney function,
that will regain weight? What are the hormonal and cellular
mechanisms by which your behavior and kidney function change? What
is your serum [sodium] when you have finally regained weight and
why?
1. If the person continous training for 2 hour without drinking a single glass of water then the person will loss water or due to dehydration 2kg of body weight loss is possible.
2. The plasma (sodium) concentration will increase, but the body will suffer from a acute loss of Water & Sodium as well. Because the loss of water in the body will also cause loss of electrolytes (like- NaCl) ,so the body will face acute loss of Na & Water.
3. There will some changes seen-
4. The main hormone ADH hormone is the main hormone for the change, when the body suffers from acute loss of water and electrolyte at that time the cell also suffers from electrolyte imblance in the ECF and this condition stimulate the hypothalamus to release ADH.The ADH travels through blood comes in the kidney and starts to reabsorb the water and electrolytes from the parts of Nephrone in the kidney.
5. When the weight is regained the serum Na (Sodium) level will also be regained, because when the body weight will regained due to replenisment of water and electrolyte the serum Na level will also be back in previous condition.
