Please Answer ASAP....
Explain the terms mentioned below
• Bench and overall slope angles
• Overall, breakeven and immediate stripping ratios, with reference
to the open pit mining
method.
• Mineral resource and Ore reserve
• Cut-off grade , Powder factor and Charge density
Every answer should be explain in detail no less than 400 words
along with proper diagrams .numerical answers should be explain
step by step
Then only I will give Thumps Up (Please Answer ASAP)
Bench - The uncovered horizontal part or block of the mineral/Ore/Overburden is separated by lower & upper surfaces by is called Bench. This is mainly used for reduce the chances of losses due to blast hold tape , pit walls slope & high walls.
OVERALL SLOPE ANGLE-
It is an inclination of a plane (A plane joining the crest of
topmost bench to the Toe of bottom most bench ) with respect to the
horizontal plane.
Break-even - This analysis is only a supply
side (i.e. costs only) analysis, as it tells you nothing
about what sales are actually likely to be for the product at these
various prices.
It assumes that fixed costs (FC) are constant
It assumes average variable costs are constant per unit of output,
at least in the range of
likely quantities of sales. (i.e. linearity)
It assumes that the quantity of goods produced is equal to the
quantity of goods sold (i.e.,
there is no change in the quantity of goods held in inventory at
the beginning of the
period and the quantity of goods held in inventory at the end of
the period).
A strip ratio or stripping ratio, is an important measurement related to the open-pit mining process. It represents the amount of waste material, also known as overburden, that must be moved in order to extract a given amount of ore.
Mineral Resources - It can be defined as the concentration of material of economic interest in or on the earth’s crust, whereas.
Ore Reserves - These are the parts of a Mineral Resource that can at present be economically mined.
Cut-Off grade - This is the minimum grade required in order for a mineral or metal to be economically mined. Material found to be above this grade is considered to be ore, while material below this grade is considered to be waste
Power Factor (P.F.) is the ratio of Working Power to Apparent Power.
Charge Density - This is the amount of charging mass of explosive as per unit area of explosive.
