Your company is desperately looking for a system analyst. you know that your competitor invested heavily in training and has a highly competent system analyst, who indicated to you privately that she would switch if you pay her $10,000 more. your boss thinks that this is a bargain and tells you : " get her!". It surely would hurt the competitor. What issues does this raise?
Well I could sort out the following points regarding this :-
1) It will not only hurt the competitor but also will be a decline for your boss in the image of being a professional businessman.
2) It will be a kind of bribing(not properly) in a way which is not ethical.
3) Your company will be in a level of question whether you are not even able to get a system analyst and has to go for your competitor.
4) If the system analyst has a tendency to go to a company providing more money, she might leave your company in future.
5) The system analyst may show the patented projects in the previous company to your company which may lead to patent copy in future.
