Yes,Ricardian vice was related with the method Ricardo used to
analyze the economic problems with the purpose prescribing
poilcy.
The Ricardian vice relates to abstract model building and
mathematical formulas with impractical assumptions. In simpler
words, the Ricardian vice is the propensity for economists to make
and test theories that aren't troubled by the complications of
reality, resulting in theories that are mathematically beautiful
but mostly useless for practical applications. The Ricardian vice
is common in economics and is named after David Ricardo, one of the
first economists to bring mathematical ordeal to the
discipline.
Joseph Schumpeter was the first to call out the so-called Ricardian
vice and actually named the term. He argued that Ricardo took a
marginalist method to economic theory, rising in a sort of
push-button economics in which the "right answer" to a particular
problem could be solved by simply "pressing the right button" on an
economic model.
