Solutions

Expert Solution

I have written three paragraphs below, 1 each for a, b and c.

My reflections about Managerial Finance made me realize that I have strong positive opinion and thoughts about this subject and my expectations are high. The subject is about assessment of financial techniques and hence this will sharpen and hone my financial learnings to a large extent. Managerial finance is all about assessing how financial techniques are being used at different levels of a company.

In terms of critical analysis Managerial Finance is necessary for a company to determine its financial health in an in-depth manner as the subject carefully analyzes companies by department and products, versus looking at the company as a whole. One of the drawbacks is that Managerial Finance draws a comparison between the returns of a company and that of its peers and this comparison is not always objective.

My final recommendations is that this subject should be augmented with more practical situations and case studies as Managerial Finance is all about applications of financial techniques. Concepts like trend analysis, income statements and comparative financial statements are all best learned and applied in a practical manner, rather than a theoretical manner.
