Pen testing ( also known as penetration testing ) runs tests that are used to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in a system.

There are 2 type of pen testing

1. External: Here all the possibilities of how a person who doesn't have internal access can disrupt the data or steal important information.

2. Internal: Here it is assumed that the intruder has already access to the internal network and all the ways that he can exploit that access.

Here are the benifits of pen testing:

1. It can be used to analyse a threat and be pre-prepared to handel it.

2. To protect the continuity of a business: Many businesses cannot afford to disrupted in the middle, their continuous workflow the main objective.

3. Give protection to customers and clients.

4. Make a healthy and good reputation of the company: If a company's data is breached then very few people will think of using the service of the company ever again.
