a seasonal pattern is ?
Seasonal pattern is a characteristic of a time series in which the data experiences regular and predictable changes that recur every calendar year, ie. when a time series is affected by the season, or the time of the year, for example annual, semiannual, or quarterly etc. then a seasonal pattern occurs.
In other words, seasonal pattern is the variation present in a time series, that occur at specific regular intervals, in less than a year's time.
For example, the fact the high value of raincoat sales in the month of May and June, is attributed to seasonal pattern of the time series, because this repeats every year, predictably, at a certain time.
