Teaching hospital is a kind of hospital where they have medical schools, nursing schools as well as they also have research centers in order to perform researches .They mainly do researches to improve the health care.Mainly teaching hospitals are of two types. They are major teaching hospitals and minor teaching hospitals. In teaching hospitals the quality of careing the patients are high compared to non teaching hospitals. Better treatments ,surgeries, therapies are provided by teaching hospitals.
Non teaching hospital is a kind of hospital where they provide primary or essential health care as well as they also meet the primary medical needs of particular community. Quality of careing patients are low compared to teaching hospitals. They don't have any kind of better treatments, surgeries or therapies compared to teaching hospitals.
There are mainly two types of patients they are inpatients and outpatients.Inpatients are patients who stay with in the hospital for their treatments.( atleast one night). They are admitted in the hospital so that they can be monitored very well by the doctors and better treatment and care can be given to them.Inpatient day can be calculated by subtracting the day on which they get admitted from the day on which they get discharged. Inpatient day refers to the period of days the patient get admitted and they get discharged. So in that period of time the patients are closely monitored by the doctor and better treatment and better care is given to the patient.
