Proposal for Implementing Emerging Trends or Technologies Within an Organization
You work as an IT analyst at XYZ Corporation, and your manager, Farah Ahmad, has asked you to develop a presentation for a new client on emerging trends and/or technologies that the client organization could integrate into its operations. First, you must research emerging trends or technologies presented in a recent news report, trade magazine, research publication, or other sources. Online resources are posted annually outlining the emerging trends and technologies for the current and coming year; make sure you search the Internet for these resources as part of your research. You will also discuss the change management strategies to be used during the adoption process, as well as the strategies for implementation and integration of these technologies into the organization. Note that this PowerPoint presentation will be divided into two parts: analyzing the trends and implementing the trends.
(Note: For the purpose of this exercise, the “client company” could be a current or previous employer or any other company or organization with which you are familiar enough to perform your analysis.)
Submit your completed presentation, to include the following.
Analysis of Emerging Trends and Technologies (6–10 slides)
Artificial Intelligence
Analyzing of AI
Artificial Intelligence, or AI & ML has already received a
lot of buzz in recent years, but it continues to be a trend to
watch because its effects on how we live, work, and play are only
in the early stages.
AI refers to computer systems built to mimic human intelligence and
perform tasks such as recognition of images, pattern recognition,
speech recognition, weather forecast and medical diagnosis.
AI can do these tasks faster and more accurately than humans.
AI identification of emotions will influence more than half of the
online advertisements you see by 2024 (source Gartner)
With the increasing popularity of sensors that track biometrics and
the evolution of artificial emotional intelligence, businesses will
be able to detect consumer emotions and use this knowledge to
increase sales.
In health care industry the patients, for health providers
including the NHS, for Digital Health companies and for
pharmaceutical companies it is trending.
By smarter use of health data is essential to providing better
patient care – meaning treatment that is more targeted or is more
cost effective.
Implementaion of AI
People use AI & ML services in one form or another every
day, including navigation apps, streaming services, smartphone
personal assistants, ride-sharing apps, home personal assistants,
and smart home devices.
With AI & ML we can schedule trains, assess business risk,
predict maintenance, and improve energy efficiency, among many
other money-saving tasks.
Implementing the Chatbots are also increasingly becoming a tool for
employees for various quereis within their organisation instead of
trying to work up the nerve to ask various departments which can be
time consuming, employees can interact with a chatbot that can
offer details and guidance in solving their quereis.
It can also be implemented in transforming transportation
industry in autonomous vehicle development AI infrastructure for
training and validation.
As it helps in automating tasks such as traffic, scheduling trains,
making business predictions and designing driverless cars.
One more implementaion is in the Health data with AI
power.
Using machine learning technology to assist pathologists in making
more accurate diagnoses. It has the ability by reducing error in
cancer diagnosis and developing methods for individualized medical
treatment.
The AI-based symptom and cure checker that uses algorithms to
diagnose and treat illness.
The chatbot listens to a patient’s symptoms and health concerns,
then guides that patient to the correct care based on its
diagnosis.
IoT (Internet of Things)
IOT
Analyzing of IOT
The IoT (Internet of Things) is a network of devices that are
connected with each other.
It refers to the ever-growing number of “SMART” devices and objects
that are connected to the internet which has the ability to
interact and share data with each other.
With the WiFi connectivity, meaning they can be connected to the
Internet—and to each other.
These devices are constantly gathering and transmitting data,
further fueling the growth in Big Data and AI.
IoT not only enables the connection between different devices but
also their remote access.
The Internet of Things is the future and has already enabled
devices, home appliances, cars, and much more to be connected to
and exchange data over the Internet.
The IoT can enable better safety, efficiency, and decision making
for businesses as data is collected and analyzed.
It keeps a close track on our movements and actions, even without
being an interactive part.
These smart devices trade information through sensors, electronics,
system networks, and hardware.
Implementaion of IOT
It can be used to lock our doors remotely if we forget to when
we leave for work
Preheat our ovens and geysers.on our way home from work.
Track our fitness on our Fitbits. The FitBit that you use for
tracking the number of calories you burn also runs on IoT
technology.
It enables predictive maintenance, speed up medical care, improve
customer service, and offer benefits which is beyond our
imagination.
IoT chips embedded on machines help businesses to assess the
performance of those machines and assist in their
maintenance.
A car can be controlled using a mobile app, other things can also
be connected to IoT like smart TVs, coffee maker, vacuum cleaner,
music system, wearables, light fixtures, smoke alarms etc.
Device connected over the internet that can send information or
receive information and it makes a device smart. Like our
smartphones, which can communicate with other devices over the
internet in office/home space.
These emergning trends and technology can be used in the
pressentation.
