A major obstacle to the progress of eHealth is the lack of available healthcare workers (including nurses) trained in informatics and adequately prepared to work in this growing field, especially in less developed areas of the world. How many students in your class would be interested in working in one of these areas, either by providing direct care, by improving informatics infrastructure, or by training local nurses in these skills? What unique skill set would they need to accomplish these goals? How would obstacles such as global differences in terminology, interoperability, legal issues, and regulatory policies affect their work? How might these challenges be overcome?
e-health is an emerging field in the intersection of medical informatics, publichealth and business, referring to healthservices and information delivered or enhanced through the Internet and related technologies. Informatics can provide a mechanism forpatients to provide their clinician(s) with critical information, and to share information with family, friends, and other patients. This information may enable patients to exert greater control over their own care.Almost all students are willing to work in the field of electronic health services , the infrastructure the students also work to improve informatic infrastructure by following ways by computing and communications facilities and services needed to facilitate, manage, and enable efficient manufacturing; key elements include database and information management systems, data communications networks and associated services
