Consider the question: What is the probability that she will hit 5 of the targets? Notice that this question is talking about any 5 of the targets and that there are many scenarios in which this could happen. Thus we should apply the binomial model to answer this question. There are two built-in commands for the binomial model in your graphing calculator, binompdf and binomcdf and they can be found by going to 2nd DISTR and choose option A or B. Use one of these commands to answer the questions (d) through (h) below.
ANSWER:
a) Bernoulli distribution is a discrete probability
distribution in which the experiment tend to
have only two possible outcomes. In addition, it will have single trial of experiment. The
probability of success in Bernoulli distribution is denoted by p and the probability of failure is
denoted by q.
In this scenario, we will get two possible outcomes i.e. either she hits the target or she doesn't hit the target. Here are n= 10 trials so it becomes a binomial distribution.
From the given information,
Probability of success (hit the target =p) =0.53
Number of trials (n) =10
From Here part (d to i)
Value of probailities are approximate since calculated manually
