INFORMATION GATHERING IN CASE OF TRANSIENT ISCHAEMIC ATTACK :----

A prompt evaluation of your symptoms is vital in diagnoses the cause of your TIA and deciding on a method of treatment.

• Physical examination and tests----

Physical examination and neurological examination .test vision,eye movement,speech and language,strength,reflexes,sensory system.Blood pressure checking,cholesterol levels,diabetes and in some cases high levels of the amino acids and homocysteine.

• Carotid ultrasonography---

Look for narrowing or clotting in the carotid arteries.

• Computed tomography/ computed tomography angiography---

CT scan Evaluate the arteries in your neck and brain.

CTA evaluate blood vessels in the neck and head.

• Magnetic resonance imaging---

Evaluate the arteries in your neck and brain but may include and injection of a contrast material into a blood vessel.
