A node refers to the point of connection or intersection within a network. It occurs when all the devices are accessible through the available network. Therefore all these connected devices are know as nodes.

Every computer has it's own copy of blockchain, and together those computers which are considered as nodes are together makes up the blockchain network, and plays an important role in sharing tasks and responsibilities to it's other or peer computers.
