RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DIET AND CANCER.
Cancer is a large group of disorder caused by prolimination of abnormal cells. There are so many factors which cause cancer. However, diet has also a significant role in developing cancer. But diet also can prevent cancer like high diet includes vegetables , fruits , cereals , grains etc. For example , diet rich in antioxidant reduce the risk of cancer.
The food like salted food ,meat , alcohol , fast foods , fatty foods, sugary foods etc develops cancer by direct carcinogens or carcinogen produced by cooking.
Antipromoters decrease the risk of tumor formation. Dietary fiber and calorie restriction are two different antipromoters. Promoters like hormones(estrogen) , drugs cause cancer.
DIETARY PRACTICES TO REDUCE CANCER RISK.
a)Limit intake of high fat food from animal sources (high fat meat, whole fat dairy products).
b)Limiting intake of processed meat.
c)Increasing intake of fruits and vegetables.
d)Increasing intake of whole grains foods.
e)Being physically active.
f)Maintain healthy weight.
g)Avoid added sugar and solid fats.
h)Limit alcohol.
