We begin our discussion exploring the hypothesis that mental disorders are as or more prevalent than earlier periods. Do you agree or not? Be sure to provide support for your opinion. (Please help me to answer that I do agree!) Thanks.
Recent research has shown that almost everyone is likely to develop a mental disorder at some point of their life.It is agreeable that mental disorders are more prevalent now.It is the changing life style ,food habits, and exposure to ideas and beliefs that change us.Many are known to suffer from anxiety disorders starting as early as school children. The diagnostic manual for disorders have been increasing and additions as new mental health issues are emerging.Biological contribution to this aspect is also relevant.Children are more likely to be diagnosed with autism and other disorders.Present times have become a race to humanity. The stress levels and expectations have increased.we do not have time to communicate with each other, rather more addiction to technology, addiction to substance abuse, food habits as not eating healthy but opting for junk foods. All these have an impact on the brain development and are constant stressors. If we considered people in early years, human interaction was more, less technology, more pshysical activity ,all this contributed to sound mental health
