Discuss how adaptations allowed plants to move from an aquatic environment to the variety of habitats they inhabit today. You may wish to start out discussing single celled algae and include the transition from prokaryotes to eukaryotes. At the beginning or end of the essay, it may be helpful to write about plants that you have observed (using correct scientific nomenclature), and consider their traits and habitat. Then explain why those traits are adaptive, and how they arose. Don't forget the role of natural selection in adaptation.
Plants are adapted from one celled prokaryotic cells to eukarotic cells which more organised cell organelle and nucleus.
Arachaea bacteria and eukaryota are small relatively simple cells surrounded by a cell membrane and cell wall and circular DNA.
By symbiotic union of prokaryotic cells eukarotic cells were formed. This process is called endosymbiosis-
Two independent bacteria --->one bacteria engulfed other -->both bacteria benefit from the arrangements ---> this arrangement progressed from one generation to other
Water plants have undergone adaptation to help them to survive in different environment. Also these adaptations might make plants very difficult to survive in different places. So different places have different vegetation. Desert, tropical rain forest, taiga, tundra and water plants. Plant alleles shows fitness difference in different environments.
Nucleotide ploymorphism among population shows natural selection among populations. Diverse mode of natural selection is seen in plants.
