In the year 2017 , according to the characteristic of minimum wage worker about BLS 80.4 million worker age is 16 and older in US were hourly paid for their work which consist of 58.3& of the whole wages including the salary workers.

The worker are getting paid more than the set minimum wages becuase , those worker are experienced , skilled , dedicated etc for that compnay and if they left out there can be a loss for the company so they are being paid more than the minimum wage .
