Expert Solution

There are different types of sensors used. The sensor is generally located on the intake manifold or cylinder head.

The most used sensors are mass air flow, engine speed, and manifold pressure.

LiDAR sensor is a new concept gaining traction. It is used for light detection in the vehicle. It is also a laser based tool. It needs a high sensitive transmitter and receiver. It helps in measuring distances from any object whether stationary or moving. Reliable input from the sensor is very crucial for the smooth operation of the system.

They work by sensing when a specific object gets near to the car. Echo-times are used with sound waves. It can identify the distance between objects and give an alert notification to the driver.

Processors, like in computers, are used to control transmission, engine, window roll up, door lock/unlock in the car. A CANbus network is used to circulate data from sensors to the processor and other parts of the car. Sensors regularly communicate with the processor about whether a specific component of the car is working well or not. When everything is working fine, the power circuit receives command to energize the motor.
