Hello, I would like to know about antiviral agents( eg.AIDS), antifungal agents, antiparasitic agents, immunotherapy. Thank you.
Antiviral Agents: Antiviral agents are drugs which is used to treat orcontrol viral infection, that is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) . Antiviral agents can be used for prophylaxis, suppression. Some antiviral agents stimulate the body's immune system. Antiviral drugs like Abacavir which is used to treat HIV. Acyclovir which is used to treat chicken pox.
Antifungal agents: An antifungal agent is a drug that is used to treat fungal infection. It can be grouped into four main classes of antifungal drugs are the polyenes, azoles, allylamines and echinocandins.
Antiparasitic agents: Antiparasitic agents are drugs which is used to treat parasitic diseases. Human parasites include protozoa, flatworms, roundworms and ectoparasite. It is used to manage infections caused by various protozoa, and ectoparasites.They cause diseases such as malaria, trichomoniasis and Leishmaniasis.
Immunotherapy: it is used for cancer treatment that activate our immune system to fight with cancer. As we know that, the immune system helps our body to fight with infections and other diseases. Immunotherapy is a type of biological therapy.
