Answer 1:

The below practices at Theo Chocolate reflect the concept of sustainability as below

  • They ensure that organic beans are being used in the manufacturing of the chocolate in the plant. This gives the sustainability for the products and for the formers.
  • The owner had setup the beans process at the key central locations of Africa region and he spent more than 4 years of time to ensure that the forming of beans is carried out as per organic process and beans which are produced are 100% organic in nature and provides the greatest taste for the chocolate.
  • Theo Chocolate founder himself engaged in the fair business practice and fair trade for the formers so that the formers were not misused and they are given fair opportunity for their work.
  • The Theo Chocolate founder and co-founder ensured that every piece of the process is natural and it is designed in the natural sense of the process so that it gives the required sustainability for the manufacturing of chocolates.

Answer 2:

Vice President Debra Music mean when she says that Theo is a “triple bottom line” company, it means that Theo company is engaged at each and every step of the chocolate manufacturing process and they have well set the bottom line for the business. They have set each and every thing in such a way that it is perfect option and it is legal, ethical and fair for the business. It is different from any other company as other company does not focus on the supplier process so seriously and they do not involve for ethics and fair practices at supplier level.

Answer 3:

The term fair trade mean to the leaders at Theo is that they want everything to be fair and their forming people should not be exploited. Hence for them they have worked to develop fair trade process so that they get adequate return for their work and efforts.

If fair trade goals conflicts with a company’s primary responsibility to be profitable, then they will explore other fair and ethical approach so that they can make the suitable business model. But they will not explore unfair means of business practices.
