individual. Identify and explain the impact of at least three of

The Absorption of a drug can be affected either by the drug related factors or the body related factors
Some of the Drug related factors include :
1. Molecular size of the drug : smaller the size of the drug particles easier it is for it to get absorbed into the blood stream.
2. Dosage form : The Absorption of the drugs are best when they are in the gaseous form like inhalational anaesthetics and least when they are in the tablet form.
3. Lipophilicity : When a drug is lipophillic in nature it is easier for it took me penetrate into the lipophillic barrier of the cells.
Some of the Body related factors include :
1. pH : Acidic medium enhance the Absorption of acidic drugs and basic medium enhance the Absorption of basic drugs.
2. Presence of food and other substances : The Absorption of drugs cab be delayed in the presence of food and other drugs in the stomach.
3. Diseased state : some diseases that affect the gastrointestinal tract like diarrhoea or other absorptive surfaces affect the rate of Absorption of drugs.
