Parathyroid hormone regulate calcium and phosphorous in our body .
When body produces abnormally low level of parathyroid hormone condition which develop is Hypoparathyroidism . In which low calcium level in blood but high phosphorous level in blood.
Sign and symptoms which can be seen due to it are -1) tingling and burning fingertips and toes and lips 2) Muscle cramps and ache in legs , feet , stomach and face. 3) patchy hair loss 4) dry and coarse skin 5) Brittle nails 6) painfull menstruation and 7) Depression and anxiety
Expected outcomes due to untreated hypothyroidism which can seen as reversible outcome and irreversible outcome or complications
Reversible complications are seizures , malformed teeth , problem with kidney , tingling and burning toes , heart arrythmia and cramplike spasm , low blood pressure and low sugar . They are reversible because can occur due to low calcium and after treatment it can be cured
Though outcomes which are irreversible if untreated hypothyroidism for long time such outcomes or complication are stunted growth , low mental development in children , clouded vision due to cataract and calcium deposition in brain causing seizures and balancing problem and C V failure .
